Shadie Farazian
Shadie Farazian was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended UC Davis for her B.A. She has been working at Google for the last seven years and is currently managing the YouTube Operations Team. Always having the desire to learn about new cultures and an affinity for travel, Shadie has had the opportunity to take on various international assignments: first launching Google presence in Hyderabad, India in 2004, and once again for YouTube in 2006. Most recently, Shadie was in Dublin, Ireland optimizing European YouTube Operations. Now back in the Bay Area, Shadie is happily resuming her involvement with the Iranian community and focusing on her hobbies - tennis, golf, and exploring new tech.
Hani Orangi
Hani Orangi was born in Iran. Currently she lives and works in the Bay Area and has been active in many Iranian community groups as a volunteer and/or supporter. Hani started the Bay Area Chapter and continues to lead and propel the organization to the next level. She attended SDSU for both her B.A. and M.A. Hani has been working at VMware for the past 2.5 years as a Sr. Learning & Organizational Development Manager. Before VMware, Hani was employed at Cisco Systems for eight years as a Program Manager in various Business Units. In 1996, Hani and three other friends started the Persian Club at De Anza College, which continues to thrive. She participates in numerous charitable and social organizations and has a strong sense for community unity. Her hobbies include Iranian culture, traveling, sky diving, cycling and the arts.
