Amir Nayebdadash

Amir is an attorney with the Los Angeles office of Littler Mendelson, P.C., where his practice focuses on defending and representing employers in single plaintiff and wage and hour class actions. Amir also helps his clients institute practices and policies to shield themselves from litigation or mitigate any potential exposure should they find themselves embroiled in a lawsuit. In his legal career, Amir has second chaired several jury trials and obtained complete defense verdicts in each trial for his clients. Amir was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the United States when he was five years old. He attended UCLA and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Amir continued his studies at King’s College in London, England where he graduated with merit honors with a master of arts degree in international relations. Amir continued his studies at Pepperdine University School of Law where he obtained his Jurist Doctor, graduating law school in only two and half years. After law school, Amir joined one the preeminent defense trial lawyers in Southern California, the Law Offices of David J. Weiss. Recognizing his skills and leadership, Littler Mendelson, P.C., the largest labor and employment law firm in the United States, recruited Amir to join its Los Angeles office. Amir enjoys spending time with his family, staying physically fit and playing chess.

Shahrooz Shahnavaz

Shahrooz is an attorney with the Los Angeles office of the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, where he represents clients on a broad range of federal and state income tax planning matters, including tax issues related to domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, financings and leveraged buyouts, restructurings, controlled foreign corporations, reorganizations, partnership transactions, private equity transactions, real estate investment trusts and international tax planning. Shahrooz was born and raised in Aachen, Germany. He and his family migrated to the United States in 1994 when he was 18 years old. Shahrooz attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He then continued his studies at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, TN where he obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2001. Shahrooz worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers for two years prior to returning to law school in 2003 when he was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend Georgetown University Law Center for a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in taxation. He graduated from Georgetown at the top of his class in 2004 when he was awarded the Thomas Bradbury Chetwood, S.J. Prize for the most distinguished academic performance leading to an LL.M. in taxation. During his studies at Georgetown, Shahrooz was one of six students selected by the faculty to present his graduate thesis at the prestigious EUCOTAX seminar at the Universite de Paris-Sorbonne in Paris, France, in April 2004. In his free time, Shahrooz enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing classical guitar, traveling, outdoors and working out. He is, and always will be, fascinated by the rich and complex cultural heritage of his parents' homeland and is an avid fan of Persian literature, film and music, not to mention its scrumptious cuisine.
