Saina Esfandiari

Saina was born in Abadan, Iran, and moved to the US with her family in 1990. She received a B.S. degree in biology from University of Incarnate Word before becoming an optometrist. She is currently an instructor and clinician at University of Texas Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Saina was the class president and president of Multi-Cultural Foundation while in school. She has been a member of several Iranian-American organizations such as ICF Houston and PAAIA. In addition to Persian and English, she is fluent in Spanish. Saina plays tennis, loves to travel and read, and an expert in Hokm.

Nazbanoo Sedghi

Nazbanoo Sedghi

Nazbanoo Sedghi was born in Tehran, Iran and moved to the States at the age of 13. She earned her BS in Sociology from University of Houston. While a student, she served as the president for the International Student Organization and the Persian Student Association and as the director of the Council of Ethnic Organizations, the umbrella organization for all ethnic and international organizations on campus. Nazbanoo currently is the director of the Iranian Cultural Foundation - Houston, responsible for coordinating and managing all of the organization's affairs. Prior to joining ICF, she worked in sales and marketing at World Cinema, a nationwide commercial satellite TV programmer. She enjoys coordinating and organizing cultural events and volunteering with charitable organizations. Currently she's a volunteer coordinator with Be the Cause. She is also a cofounder of Pendar Book Club - an Iranian-American book club in Houston and a member of the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian-Americans.
